Greetings and welcome!
I am a doctoral candidate in Political Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, with an expected completion date of June, 2019. My research works across the sub-fields of political theory and comparative politics, with a regional focus on the Middle East. I am trained in a variety of qualitative methods for interpretive research, including ethnography, semi-structured interviews, everyday language interviews, and archival research. My Fulbright-funded dissertation research examines the cultural politics of tropical cyclones (a.k.a "hurricanes") in the US and Oman.
